The cost of electricity varies, but the cost to charge a car can be lower than the equivalent petrol or diesel car. Lower running costs is one of several reasons some people switch to fully electric cars.
Fast charging is available at DC fast charging stations. You can find charging stations on your selected route using Google Maps from the centre display or the Volvo EX30 app. For regular and considerably shorter charging times at home, we recommend an 11kW wallbox. This installation can give you approximately 7-8 hours charging time (from empty to 100 per cent), or around 50–60 km range per hour.
We recommend charging up to 80 per cent capacity to charge as fast as possible. This helps keep charging times short, as the last 20 per cent takes the longest. And by preconditioning the car battery before arriving at a fast-charging station, you can help ensure faster, more efficient charging. This approach means you can charge 10 to 80 per cent at a 175kW DC fast-charging station in as little as 26.5 minutes. If you need a full charge to reach your destination or the next charging station, use controls on the centre display to hit 100 per cent. Charging times may vary and depend on factors such as outdoor temperature, current battery temperature, charging equipment, battery condition, car condition, etc.

SUV stands for sports utility vehicle. These are highly versatile 5- or 7-seater passenger vehicles with an upright exterior design. They have a higher seating position than a standard family car and typically feature all-wheel drive. They are built in various sizes, with smaller SUVs considered compact.
The small size of the Volvo EX30 means it can be considered a compact SUV. It's still versatile and upright, with a carrying capacity of up to five people and spacious load compartments.
